    Saunders Measuring & Fitting Guide

    Saunders manufacture 4 sizes of headrest mounted car dog guards to fit virtually every car.  All come in 2 styles; silver satin tubular frame or black satin wire mesh frame.  For videos on how to fit the guards, please click here.

    They are constructed to a very high standard from steel and aluminium, are simple to put together, fit and remove and shouldn’t be confused with other lesser ‘universal’ type of dog guards, particularly the older roof to floor pole fitting systems.

    To choose the correct size guard, simply measure the gap between the top of your car seat and the roof as shown below and click on the desired W wire mesh or T tubular guard product in the table below    .

    • Measure the vertical distance between the roof and the top of the seat off the centre by about 30cms as shown above and look up the correct fitting guard in the table below
    • Select your preferred style - either T tubular or W wire mesh and click the product number in the table below
    • In vehicles fitted with roof mounted seat belts or storage boxes, we recommend our Tubular dog guard
    • Check with your manufacturer's instructions if a rear air bag is fitted to ensure that it's deployment is not restricted by the dog guard
